Free Thanksgiving meals today, Thursday

• A free Thanksgiving dinner will be held today at Meeds United Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning. Seating times are 3 and 5 p.m. For reservations, call 570-669-9212 or 570-645-5873 and leave a message.

• The next free community dinner at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Race Street is today. A turkey feast will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. at 21 Race St. If you have questions, please call 570-325-2241.• Community Thanksgiving dinner at 3-6 p.m. today, Friedens Lutheran Church, 525 Church St., New Ringgold. Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with friends. Free meal includes roasted turkey, potato filling, gravy, corn, green beans, candied sweet potatoes, lettuce with hot bacon dressing, cranberry sauce and salad and more including a large variety of desserts.
