The Schuylkill East Teeners finished second in the 13/14-year-old VFW State Tournament, held in Pottsville. The team consisted of players from Tamaqua, Pottsville and Schuylkill Valley. Tamaqua's Nathaniel Noftz earned the MVP Award for Schuylkill East for his pitching performance throughout the tournament.
