Gentlemen,

How stupid do our legislators in this commonwealth think the citizens of this state really are? First of all, they want to raise the sales tax by 1.25 percent with no guarantee that in two or three years from now, all property owners will be stuck with the same high property taxes that we previously had.By right, all of this sales tax increase should be going to the school districts within this commonwealth for tax relief for these property owners, but it's not. What ever happened to all of these revenues from the gambling casinos that we were supposed to get for property relief?But now we get very little of it. It goes anywhere else. The gambling in this state would have never been allowed by its citizens, but under the guise that they were going to get property tax relief we all believed it.What ever happened to Bill 76 where it was guaranteed to lower our property taxes? I no longer hear anything about that. I think this is to be a travesty to pass such legislation after the legislators lied about the casino business. When will we get our tax relief?I think what's going on in Harrisburg is a sham, and here we go again. The legislators of this commonwealth should be ashamed of themselves.I know when it is time for election I am voting all of them out, and voting for someone who will fight for the will of the hardworking people of this state. The people of this state deserve better than this.We need REAL PROPERTY TAX RELIEF; not a sham that they can take away from us in the next few years.Barry J. FinkLehighton
