Youths participating in Lansford Youth Week took their oaths of office from District Magistrate Joseph Sverchek at an event held at the AMVETS Post in the community.

They included Raymond Szumigraj, mayor; Ann Porvaznik, president; Michael Frendak, Beth Heffelfinger, Carol Kruczek, Ron Gurka, John Gates and Susan Repik, members of borough council; Sharon Jones, Roselyn Reese and Robert Kozik, school board; Thomas Heffelfinger, tax collector; and Bernard Ogozalek, magistrate.Others included Ann Piscelli, secretary; Audrey Hager, treasurer; and Paul Reese and David Szumigraj, health officers.
