Additional charges are being filed against a Tamaqua man swept up in a warrant roundup on May 2.

Anthony William Valentine, 22, of 311 Penn St., was found in his bedroom. Police had an outstanding warrant for his arrest on drug-related charges. On the night stand next to the bed were a spoon with a shoelace wrapped around the handle, an open silver cigarette case, a tobacco tin and a wooden box.Inside the cigarette case were syringes, bags marked "butter" containing a powdery substance, cut straws, a shoelace, a small bag with residue and empty "butter" bags with residue. Inside the tobacco tin were a total of 21 empty sandwich bags, each containing residue. The wooden box had 13 empty baggies with residue, rubber bands, a syringe, a zip-lock bag containing an alprazolam pill and a bag containing marijuana and a hard crystalline substance.He faces additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
