A Schuylkill County woman sustained minor injuries following a DUI crash Wednesday afternoon in Mahanoy Township.

State Police at Frackville said that at 4:38 p.m., police responded to a crash with minor injuries at Route 54 (Suffolk Road) near Patriotic Hill, Schuylkill County.A 1998 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on SR54 and lost control while neogitating a left curve in the roadway.The vehicle traveled off the northern berm and struck a fence and concrete wall in front of the former St. Nicholas Breaker.The operator, Kimberly Lynn Hons, 35, of Mahanoy City, said that she had consumed alcoholic beverages prior to the crash and smoked marijuana earlier in the day.Hons was transported by Mahanoy City Ambulance to Schuylkill Medical Center-South for evaluation.Hons submitted to a blood test.She will be charged pending results of the blood test.Charges will be filed at District Court 21-3-05.Mahanony Township Police were not working at the time of the crash.
