Coaldale Mayor Joel Johnson told the borough council on Tuesday that he will be holding a "Coaldale Town Hall Meeting" at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 25 in the Angela Theater.

The meeting originally was to be held in the borough hall, but the owner of the Angela Theater offered the use of that facility to accommodate more residents.Johnson said topics to be discussed will be police, blight problems, code enforcement issues, local ordinances, street issues and recreation.He said the goal of the meeting is, "To be a more transparent and open community involving positive feedback and opinions."
