The Lehigh Valley Basketball School (LVBS) 7th grade AAU basketball team is made up of five boys each from Northwestern and Parkland along with one each from Palmerton and Whitehall. The team reached the championship game of a tournament held at West Chester University before placing first in a tournament held at Kutztown University and most recently winning the North Whitehall Sandi Riley Summer League with an undefeated record. In the championship game they defeated South Parkland, 41-20. Members of the team include, front row, Nick Papay; middle row from left, Drew Dana, Sean McCann, Michael Rebert, Derek Hebelka; back row, Coach Dave McCann, Jared Kucharzuk, Luke Hallman, Deven Bollinger, Jack O'Donnell and Nate Reimer. Other team members were Chris Lessel and Joe Lisicky.
