Pleasant Valley senior presents grad project video

Pleasant Valley senior Skyler Gabriel presented a video for his senior graduation project to the Pleasant Valley School District board of directors at the Thursday meeting. He was a volunteer at the district's summer reading and math camp and made a video of the activities.

The Pleasant Valley School District board of directors voted (8-0, with Robert Serfass absent) to approve:Hiring Judith Huebner, elementary substitute teacher/paraprofessional associate; Stephen Likins, substitute monitor; Alison Zacharias, security officer, casual; Shellie Menzoff, substitute paraprofessional associate; Kathleen Johnson, Kimberly Kujawa, Carise McGill, Victoria Nichols, Angela Procita, Samantha VanBuskirk-George as PVHS part-time paraprofessional associates/substitute paraprofessional associates, $20,331, prorated, step 3; Martina Zaragoza, PVHS part-time paraprofessional associate, $20,331, prorated, step 3; and Alison Jochen, substitute school nurse.Resignations of Kristine Delmas, PVE full-time paraprofessional associate, effective Aug. 15; Kerri Lherisson, PVMS part-time paraprofessional associate, effective Aug. 18; Theresa Lusardi, PVI part-time paraprofessional, effective Aug. 22; Amanda Musarra, PVE part-time paraprofessional associate, effective Aug. 18; Dawn Hartley-Culp, PVHS part-time paraprofessional associate, Aug. 21 but wishes to remain on the substitute list for teacher, paraprofessional associate, secretary, custodian, food service employee; Wendy Sheeran, PVMS part-time paraprofessional associate, effective Aug. 25; Nikol Hahn PVMS monitor, effective Aug. 13 but wishes to remain on the substitute list for monitor, paraprofessional associate, secretary; Jamie Gesiskie PVI part-time paraprofessional associate, effective June 18.Transfers of Drew Davis from PVE health and physical education to PVHS health and physical education (board member Steve Borger voted no); Cindy DePue from Polk Elementary monitor to PVHS monitor; Tierney Nyers from PVHS health and physical education to PVE health and physical education (board member Steve Borger voted no); Sally Saragusa, previously approved transfer on May 22 board meeting should be amended to reflect PVMS to PVHS full-time family and consumer science teacher; William Mingle from PVHS temporary full-time custodian to PVE regular full-time custodian.In other business, the board unanimously approved discarding of 295 various PVMS textbooks.
