Wet weather expected today

Today would be a good day to be a duck.

Meteorologists are calling for heavy rain, and possibly even late season thunderstorms, as a front moves through the region over the next two days.According to the National Weather Service, up to an inch of rain is possible during the day. But temperatures should remain unseasonably warm with highs near 75.Thursday is expected to have lingering showers as the front pushes east. Total rainfall is expected to be up to an inch-and-a-half, but don't count out higher totals in some areas in the region.Temperatures will slowly make its descent into fall weather this weekend, so don't get used to the warmth.Clouds and sun are expected Friday and Saturday with highs in the mid-60s. Sunday, however, will be cooler but still partly sunny, with temperatures only near 55 as a northwest wind blows over the Northeast.
