The Nesquehoning Woman's Club hosted Janene Holter Solarczyk, outreach senior supervisory agent for the Attorney General's Office, to its October meeting. She told the women about various types of scams and answered questions. The presentation made the women aware of phone scams, which have become very apparent and in abundance. The next club meeting will be Carbon County's District Attorney Jeanne Engler on Nov. 3. The Christmas dinner will be held at Macaluso's in Nesquehoning Dec. 1. The club will once again be donating gloves to needy students at Panther Valley Elementary School.
