Chair-ity event draws near

As the Chair-ity auction for the Penn Kidder Library Center gets closer the chairs are piling up at the used book store in Pine Point Plaza in Albrightsville.

On July 1 auctioneer Warren Reiner will volunteer his services to the library center to help sell the chairs and raise money for the library, which is located at the plaza."We are expecting to have about 30 chairs in the auction," said library center President Barbara Franzosa."The chairs to be auctioned are both new and repurposed."Local artists and craftsmen have donated their time and talent and created an array of interesting chairs," Franzosa said.The event will begin at 6 p.m. on July 1 at the Boulder View Tavern in Lake Harmony.The evening will start with a silent auction, followed by the live bidding at 7 p.m.Tickets are $15 and include a barbecue buffet. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the library or at Boulder View Tavern or at the door.
