On Dec. 9, the Jim Thorpe Rotary Club inducted seven new members during the annual holiday dinner at the Broadway Grill in the Inn at Jim Thorpe. The new Rotarians come from a broad spectrum of professional backgrounds. Carole Walbert is an attorney while Sherri Scott-Gibson worked on Wall Street in finance. Mary Mulligan, Sophie McGinley and John P. Evans come from health care professions while Marion Shuler is a music teacher and performer. Brian Gasper is the superintendent of Jim Thorpe Area School District.
