Jim Thorpe police report

Jim Thorpe police released its monthly statistics for June 2015.

The department issued eight non-traffic citations including five for disorderly conduct, two for harassment and one for public drunkenness; 51 traffic citations including 12 for speeding, three for driving with a suspended license, nine for expired inspections, two for unregistered vehicles, two for no insurance, nine for meter violations, seven for parking violations and one each for an expired driver license, careless driving, driving on roadway laned for traffic, hit and run, failure to immediately notify police of a crash, seat belt violation and failure to report a change of address.Four criminal charges handed down by police included one each for driving under the influence, institutional vandalism, furnishing drug-free urine and criminal mischief.Two drug charges were filed in June including one each for possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.Police patrolled 4,592 miles in June, between four vehicles, using 298.9 gallons of gasoline.
