Two Schuylkill County residents are facing bad check charges.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Kevin McDonough, 40, of Pottsville, has been charged for issuing a check for $216.17 to BG's Market, located in King's Village Mall, Norwegian Township, on May 24.The check was later returned for insufficient funds. McDonough was sent a certified letter concerning the check but did not respond to it within 10 days, as required. He was then charged.Jennifer Johnstone, 35, of Mahanoy Plane, was charged after she issued a check for $400 to George Cinqmars, 65, of Cressona for her rent bill on July 1.The check was later returned for insufficient funds. A certified letter was sent to Johnstone, which she failed to respond to within 10 days. She was then charged.
