Seventh Moon Wellness Spa celebrating grand reopening

Clients have raved about The Seventh Moon Wellness Spa, 701 Bridge St., Suite B-103, Lehighton, for nearly 10 years and with the opening of additional space, their experiences are about to get even better.Xandria Ahner, massage therapist and proprietor, built the business on massage and her business has grown so much in the past three years at the present location, that it had outgrown the space. To make more room, a wall was removed to add just over 1,000 square feet.The new space allows for expanded manicure and pedicure seating, plus room to enlarge the hair salon, spa cafe and to offer room for a locker room and additional retail sales, bringing The Seventh Moon Wellness Spa close to 3,400 square feet.To celebrate the additional space, Ahner is hosting a grand re-opening celebration from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19. The grand opening celebration will feature refreshments, door prizes, 20 percent off retail items and a reveal of the new space.Ahner said that the move to the Bridge Street location three years ago brought her the space she needed to offer pedicures, manicures and a full service hair salon in addition to massages."We have fantastic aestheticians on staff," she said.Among the staff are Paula Lawson and Diane Valenti, aestheticians; Christine Afflerbach, Phyllis Manser, Jill Williams, Karen Carter and Cinda Nothstein, massage therapists; Deborah Ahner, Sherry Radman, Alicia Silfies and Lisann Szerlip, cosmetologists, Peter DeCarlo, herbalist; Katelynn Walsh, make up artist; Marlene Fulton, nail artist; Rowen Laitila, assistant; and Jill Rehrig, MSR specialist. All employees are licensed in their fields.The Seventh Moon Wellness Spa initially opened in Franklin Township, near the Phifer Ice Dam Park and outgrew that space and moved into an office at Schwab's Law Officers. Then the business expanded into its present space at the former Baer Silk Mill building, which also houses PDC Spas.With an emphasis on relaxation and tranquility, the spa has caught the attention of men, women and couples who want to embrace the peaceful atmosphere at The Seventh Moon Wellness Spa.They offer facials, waxings and a couple's massage room. The couple's room offers all sorts of couples, mothers and daughters, sisters and friends an opportunity to bond while sharing a relaxing massage.The offer mud packs, scrubs. An added bonus is there are showers in the massage rooms.Your tot, 'tweet or teen can enjoy a birthday experience with their friends at spa birthday party.There is also Steamy Wonders Services for those who would enjoy the healing power of steam which offers a patented circulation design of heat within the steam tent. The steam tent provides extra comfort since your head remains out of the tent while you steam (resting on the face cradle of the massage table).Plus there is an inversion table, exfoliation of hair treatments, plus spray tanning available.Additional space was carved out for larger hair salon, nail salon and pedicure salon. The hair salon offers cuts, color, highlights, lowlights and waxing.Those who want to enhance the length or fullness of their hair can meet with Lisann Szerlip and receive amazing hair extensions that will enhance what nature has given you.The Seventh Moon Wellness Spa also features Katelynn Walsh, a makeup/make up artist who has worked in New York, televisions sets and in the Lehigh Valley."We're so excited to have Katelynn on staff," said Ahner.The Seventh Moon Wellness Spa offers services by appointments Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday appointments are available by special consideration.
