Carbon business illegally entered

A Carbon County business was the victim of a burglary.

State police at Lehighton said Lorenzo's Pizza, located at 709A Lincoln Ave., Bowmanstown, was entered sometime between 3:15 and 3:30 a.m. on Monday, July 1. Entry was gained through a window with an air conditioner unit in it. Once inside the criminals attempted to open the cash register. When that failed they took the register. Troopers said there are two suspects, both males, one thin and one heavy set.Troopers noted this is the second entry to the building in as many nights. Two nights prior a convenience store located next store was entered. Troopers said both entries are connected to the same two males. The pizza business is owned by Alessandro Lozzi, 46, of Bowmanstown.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
