A Monroe County man, operating a all terrain vehicle (ATV) that crashed early Saturday morning, is facing a driving under the influence (DUI) charge.

State police at Lehighton said Shaun Runyon, 30, of Sciota, was driving a Yamaha ATV southbound on Fiddletown Road, in Eldred Township, about 1:30 a.m. when the vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole. Runyon was injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment.Troopers said Runyon is suspected of DUI with charges pending.
