Trinity happenings

Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, will hold Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost worship at 9 a.m., Aug. 11. A recap from the group of 19 youth and advisers on their recent post-Hurricane Sandy mission trip in New Jersey precedes the worship service. In addition, there will be a time set for feedback on "what makes worship important to you." Interim pastor Rev. Don Hayn presides. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

Trinity and other area Lutheran churches are participating at "Bike Night" on Aug. 10 by handing out bottled water and prayer shawls for free.

The 2013 ELCA assembly "Always Being Made New" meets Aug. 12 in Pittsburgh. A total of 952 voting members from 65 synods and 9,638 congregations will serve on behalf of over 4 million baptized members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Free community dinner

All Saints Episcopal Church, 301 N. Second St., Lehighton, will host a free community dinner from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15. The menu is chicken Parmesan with noodles and watermelon for desert. All are welcome. For additional information, call (610) 377-2675.

Lehighton AMVETS

Lehighton AMVETS, Elwood Miller Post 106, will meet Saturday, Aug. 17, at Glenn Troutman's grove, 384 Ben Salem Road, Lehighton, for their annual picnic meeting. Doors open at noon with the meeting to begin at 2 p.m.

Addictions class

Lighthouse Baptist Church, 1349 Green St., Lehighton, is starting a faith-based addictions class on Fridays at 7 p.m.
