State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers recently.

On Saturday, April 6, about 8:40 p.m. troopers stopped Cynthia M. Pittenger, 48, of Effort, along Silver Springs Blvd., south of SR209, in Polk Township, Monroe County, for a vehicle code violation. She was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest, troopers said.

On Sunday, April 7, about 1:30 a.m. troopers stopped Dylan L. Rahmann, 23, of Saylorsburg, along Doney Road, at the intersection with Weir Mountain Road, in Polk Township, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest.

On Monday, April 8, about 4:38 p.m. troopers stopped Rodney Allen Rider, 32, of Jim Thorpe, at the intersection of state routes 209 and 248, in Franklin Township, Carbon County, after he was observed driving erratically and passing several cars. He was suspected to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was placed under arrest. Troopers also said Rider provided false identification to law enforcement and will be charged with that offense.

Also on Monday, about 10:28 p.m., troopers stopped Michael John Brengel, 20, of Effort, along Beltzville Drive, west of SR534, in Polk Township, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest.

On Tuesday, April 9, about 1:21 a.m., troopers stopped Shane Allen Christman, 20, of Palmerton, along SR209, just north of Weir Lake Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a vehicle code violation. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest.
