Rush Township police took Duane Hilliard, 34, into custody Thursday following a vehicle stop on Claremont Avenue.

Hilliard was stopped at 2:24 p.m. on a routine traffic detail.A records check indicated he was wanted by state police at Hazleton. An outstanding warrant for Hilliard's arrest had also been issued by the Luzerne County Sheriff's Office.Hilliard was transferred to the custody of state police and incarcerated in the Luzerne County Prison.
