Vincent Casanva Vella, graduated maxima cum laude from La Salle University on May 20. He is the son of Vincent and Linda Vella of Kresgeville.

While at La Salle, Vella was the editor in chief of both the university newspaper, The Collegian, and the literary magazine, the Grimoire. He was the president of the La Salle chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Honor Society; a member of La Salle's Communication Department Student Advisory Board; and a member of the student Media Advisory Committee.He has had internships as a staff writer for The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Pocono Record, The TIMES NEWS, the Philadelphia Daily News and as an online content manager for philly.com. Vella is currently working at The Denver Post in Denver, Colorado.He is a graduate of Ss. Peter and Paul School, Lehighton, and Marian Catholic High School, Tamaqua.
