Marian and Northwestern posted victories in girls basketball action on Tuesday.

GIRLS BASKETBALLShenandoah-MarianMarian turned in a dominating defensive performance to defeat Shenandoah, 37-21, in Schuylkill League action.The Fillies, who played the game without double-figure scorer Danielle Trinstani, didn't allow Shenandoah (3-4, 1-2) more than six points in any quarter.Gabby Green led Marian (6-2, 3-0) with 11 points.
