The Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, promises a host of entertaining events this month.

Wednesday, Dec. 5: Reading Rocks!, from 6-7 p.m., sponsored by St. Luke's Miners Hospital and the library.

Tuesday, Dec. 11, Preschool Story Time from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Story, craft and refreshments are provided. Due to the winter months this will be the last story time until spring.

Wednesday, Dec. 12, Reading Rocks!, from 6-7 p.m., sponsored by St. Luke's Miner's Hospital and the library is concluding its six-week program with a pizza party for the children.

Sunday, Dec. 16, starting at 2 p.m., the library and the Lansford Historical Society will be having a Victorian Christmas Program/Open House. The Holistic Therapeutic Outreach Services Song and Dance Group, under the direction of Jonathan Rodgers, will be singing traditional Victorian Christmas songs along with sing-alongs. The Song and Dance Group members include Jake Tokosh, Karen Kappes, Jay Beaz and Brenda Fritzinger. Refreshments will be provided by the library volunteers and the historical society.
