A night of fun and laughter is planned for Saturday, Nov. 12, when the ninth annual Tech-Net Comedy Night is held at Penn's Peak, Jim Thorpe.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Dream Come True, Blue Ridge Chapter and local fire companies, including Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Department, Franklin Township Fire Company, Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company, Albrightsville Fire Company and West End Fire Company, Brodheadsville.

Tech-Net Profession Auto Service has raised more than $98,000 over the past eight years from this one-night event to support the local community.

Doors open at 5 p.m. "Will Work For Chocolate Comedy Tour" will provide live comedy at 9 p.m.

There also will be live music by Big Things and a silent auction from 5 to 7 p.m. Big Things is the ultimate party band, playing anything from classic rock to top 40 hits.

Donations of products, services and/or gift certificates are being accepted for the silent auction. Donations should be dropped off at Palmerton Auto Parts.
