State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan has promoted James E. Emigh Jr., 41, of Morrisdale, Clearfield County, to lieutenant and assigned him as the Staff Service Section Commander at Troop G, Hollidaysburg.

Emigh most recently served as the Station Commander at Troop G, Rockview.A native of Morrisdale, Clearfield County, Emigh enlisted in the state police in 1991.Following his training at the State Police Academy in Hershey, he was assigned to Troop F, Montoursville.As he progressed through the ranks, Emigh also served at nine different stations, including Lehighton.
