The 20th annual Palmerton Halloween Parade will be held Sunday, Oct. 16 at 4 p.m. The rain date is Monday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m.
The parade will form at Seventh and Delaware avenues, as well as the 600 and 700 blocks of Franklin Avenue, and Lafayette Avenue. The parade route will be Delaware Avenue to Third Street, turning right on Third Street to Franklin Avenue, then turning left on Franklin to Second Street, taking Second Street to Lafayette Avenue and traveling Lafayette Avenue back to Seventh Street, where it will disband.
One of the biggest concerns of the parade committee is everyone's safety both participants and spectators. Spectators are reminded to keep their children at the curb area and not allow them to run in the street during the parade. Please obey the posted no parking areas, and the street barricades that are in place. Do not remove the barricades, or park in posted areas, or you may be subject to ticket or towing.
Anyone who would like to register for the parade may obtain an application by calling (610) 826-7515 and leave their name and mailing address.
