Tamaqua and Northern Lehigh picked up wins on the baseball diamond on Tuesday afternoon in local sports action.

The Olympians dropped another non-league decision at the hands of Northern Lehigh, 13-0 in five innings.

Marcus Kremposky finished 2-for-3 on the day with a single, double and two RBI for the Bulldogs (1-0). Teammate Jake Kern had a double with two RBI, while Ryan Trexler was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs.

Sean Green and Justin Kaminski had sole hits for JT (0-2).

The Blue Raiders held on for a non-league win over Upper Dauphin, 8-3.

Mike Streisel struck out seven, while teammates Ryan Palsgrove (solo HR, two runs), Matt Roberts (two RBIs) and Brandon Hosler (2-for-4, double, RBI) all contributed from the offensive side.

For Upper Dauphin (1-1), Payton Kennery had a RBI single.

Tamaqua (1-0) will travel to King's to take on Pocono Mountain East Friday.

Jake Cryts earned the win and finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and two RBI. James Bromell also had a noteworthy offensive showing, as he produced a 3-for-4 stint with a triple and three RBIs.

For Northwestern (0-1), Payton Bachman, Tim Schaffer, Austin Kelly and Sawyer Smith all had hits, while teammate Andrew Rivera scored the team's only run on a wild pitch.

James Sverchek gave the Indians (1-2, 1-2) their only win in singles play, and then teammed with Nick Mantz for a doubles victory. Lehighton took all four doubles matches to earn its first win of the season.
