We should live today wisely

Dear Editor:

What an revealing article about Louann Leon and her family, neighbors and friends during the earthquake! An astute reader would see many lessons!First, Japan has many "we are used to these" prepareness things in place: public address systems heard all over, vending machines that open when this happens, manuals published to help one pack- especially a whistle! We should all learn such tactics and practice them for many emergencies, not even those we'd expect day to day, such as fire! We all need to know how to prepare for potential nuclear fallout: stay in, tape windows and doors, fill your tub etc. Also, the biggest lesson: our lives can change or end in a NY minute (or Japan 2). We are all truly living with "terminal" illness- healthy or not .Seems we should keep ourselves and souls right and close to God, He is with us throughout all times, good and terrorizing. Live today wisely, waste no time on the small stuff. Please everyone, let's begin to pray each day - together. If we all say our favorite prayer at noon - imagine what power we have! Pray for all who need protection in the world, pray for our Nation and all within it who seek help.Thank you!Jeannie PaslawskyWillow Grove, PA(Tamaqua Native)
