CHRIS PARKER/TIMES NEWS In late November, Panther Valley JROTC Platoon Leader Joseph Bevins lowered the 10-foot-by-16-foot American flag from its pole at the Coaldale Complex as his platoon stood at attention. The flag was in need of repair and was mended over the winter months by Coaldale World War II Committee member William Gaddes. This week Bevins hoisted the flag, given to the committee by now-state Senator David G. Argall, to its position of glory. JROTC cadets attending were Major Ashlee Miller, Sgt. First Class Ashton Walck, Sgt. First Class Heidi Warman, Pvt. First Class Jerdil Castillo, Cmd. Sgt. Mjr. Angela Piscitelli, Lt. Col. Courtney Lazar, Sgt. Tyler Suzadail and First Sgt. Codey Drum. Major Kenneth Markovich leads the unit.
