The engagement of Sarah Hanover, Chittenango, N.Y., to Andy Breiner, also of Chittenango, has been announced by their parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dan and Catherine Hanover of Canastota, N.Y., and the granddaughter of Francis and Linda (Newman) Moran; Jim and Betty Ann Colby; and the late Edward and Mary Hanover. She is a 1999 graduate of West Genesee High School; a 2003 graduate of University of Stony Brook; and a 2008 graduate of Touro Law Center. She is employed as an attorney with the law firm of Scolaro, Shulman, Cohen, Fetter and Burstein, P.C. in Syracuse, N.Y.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Perry and Louann Breiner of Tamaqua, and the grandson of Richard and Arlene Breiner and George and Dorothy Ross.He is a 2000 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, and a 2005 graduate of Cornell University. He is employed as a project manager for Ryan Homes in Syracuse.A wedding is being planned for Oct. 9, 2010.
