Candace Louise Bylinski, 25, of Tamaqua, is escorted to her arraignment by Tamaqua Police Cpl. Henry Woods on Thursday. Bylinski was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, Tamaqua, on forgery, theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property charges after she allegedly used her grandmother's checks without permission. The affidavit lists 39 separate occasions when Bylinski used the checks at Boyer's Food Mart, Tamaqua, and WalMart in Hometown. The total amount missing from the grandmother's Wachovia account was listed at $1,026.50. Judge Bayer set bail at $10,000 unsecured.
