The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is accepting applications for toll, maintenance and clerical positions through the 2010 Summer Turnpike Program. Rep. Jerry Knowles (R-Berks/Schuylkill) said today.
Interested applicants may obtain applications from Knowles's office or online at RepKnowles.com. The deadline to submit applications to Knowles' office is Friday, March 12. Applicants should submit their applications to Knowles office and not to the Turnpike Commission directly, as this will only delay processing of the applications.
The program is limited to 16 weeks per employee and runs between May 1 and Sept. 30. Applicants must have graduated from high school or be attending college. Toll collectors must be available to work any of the three shifts over a 24-hour period, including Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
For more information on summer employment with the Turnpike Commission, contact any of Knowles' district offices at (570) 668-1240, (570) 366-2735 or (610) 562-3411 or visit Knowles' web site at RepKnowles.com and click on "Turnpike Commission Summer Employment."
