Getz Personal Care Home honors West End Ambulance

The Getz Personal Care Home on Route 534 in Kunkletown, recently honored the West End Ambulance Association, with an award for outstanding service to the community.

Residents of the Getz Personal Care Home presented the Award Certificate to Captain Kerry Knapp, of Effort, and Lt. Beth Ann Dale, of Albrightsville, at Station #8-1 in Effort.The West End Ambulance has been continually serving the surrounding townships of Monroe County since 1955 with six ambulances and has a second station, #8-2, in Saylorsburg.The station also received a fruit basket, and a coffee and tea basket filled with assorted snacks.Upcoming events in December at the Getz Home include: The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Holiday Visit; a cantata-Chorus of Churches; Annual Getz Holiday Family Party with music by Eric Kearns; Carols with Cub Scout Troop 101; The Blue Mt. Women's Club Christmas Social with Santa; Christmas Caroling with the Sierra View Seniors; A Pleasant Valley School Sing Along; "The Sounds of Christmas" with singer, John Bauer; A Holiday Cookie Exchange Social; Book reading with Polk student, Aidan McHugh-Wood; and a "New Year's Eve Bash" with music by "The Sidekicks."
