Gio Colon pitched a four-hitter Sunday to help Northern Lehigh upset Northwestern, 5-2, in a Colonial League contest.

The game was played at PNC park in Moosic, home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Colon walked three and struck out two in his seven innings of work.

The Bulldogs (3-8; 3-7), who scored all five of their runs in the fourth inning, received a hit and RBI from Brandon Hess, Chase Misera, and Zach Long.

Trevor Schreiner had a triple and run scored for the Tigers (10-3; 9-3).

Lehighton’s offense proved to be too strong, as it defeated non-league opponent Catasauqua 11-1 in five innings.

Zach Crum led the Indians (5-5) with a single, double, triple, two runs scored, and an RBI. Logan Pagotto added a pair of hits, an RBI and run scored.

The tandem of Avery Deem and Mike Bozilesky combined on a two-hitter.

Max Nolter collected four hits, two of them doubles, as Marian downed Nativity in a non-league game, 8-3.

The contest began Tuesday, but was suspended due to snow squalls.

The Olympians are now 2-10 overall and 1-4 in the league.

Noah Russo gained the pitching win, striking out six.

Kaitlyn Stauffenberg led the Blue Raiders (9-1) with a pair of home runs and five RBIs. Jen Frederickson added two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored; Miranda Chinchar had a double, walked twice and scored twice; and Brooke Zellner had a hit, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Jada Schellhammer added another pitching gem for Tamaqua, tossing a one-hitter and striking out nine.

Alexis Colecio and Kelly Royer both had a double and single in the second game to lead the Wreckers to redemption. The Wreckers (3-5) actually led 11-0 in the game, before the Preppers mounted a comeback.
