Schuylkill County Court - Probation

Schuylkill County President Judge William E. Baldwin has sentenced 10 people charged by local police to probation.

Michael Kabana, 25, of Lansford: Charged by Coaldale police with possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident on Oct. 17, 2014. Baldwin placed him on probation for 12 months.John L. Smith II, 26, of Tamaqua: Charged with Coaldale police after an incident on Oct. 28, 2014. Baldwin placed him on probation for 12 months. The sentence runs concurrent to one on charges of receiving stolen property, conspiracy and defiant trespass also filed by Coaldale police after an incident on June 1, 2014.Felicia Urbanski, 28, no address listed: Charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property, and conspiracy by Rush Township police after an incident on Oct. 25, 2014. Baldwin sentenced her to 18 months probation, and to repay Walmart $604. The sentence runs concurrent with one for the same charges, again filed by Rush Township police, after an incident on Feb. 26. In that incident, she was ordered to repay Walmart $200.Peggy Hill, 50, of Coaldale: Charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia by Coaldale police after an incident on Dec. 22, 2014. Baldwin sentenced her to 12 months probation. The sentence runs concurrent with one on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, filed by Coaldale police after an incident on June 16, 2014.Tammy L. Bartolett, 43, of Catasauqua: Charged with passing bad checks by Tamaqua police after an incident on Jan. 23. Baldwin sentenced her to 12 months probation.Justin Schuch, 20, of Lansford: Charged with simple assault and harassment by Tamaqua police after an incident on Nov. 25, 2014. Baldwin sentenced him to 23 months probation and to pay Richard Trexler $2,105 in restitution. Baldwin also ordered Schuch to have no contact with Trexler.Alyssa A. Bensinger, 27, of Tamaqua: Charged with simple assault by Rush Township police after an incident on June 5, 2013. Baldwin sentenced her to 23 months probation, and to repay $12 to Julie Barracato. The sentence is to run concurrently with two other cases. In the first, she was charged by Tamaqua police with possession of drug paraphernalia on Jan. 2. In the second, she was charged with the same offense, again by Tamaqua police, on May 1.Christopher White, 29, of Tamaqua: Charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by Rush Township police after an incident on June 21, 2014. Baldwin placed him on probation for 12 months.Ashley Balliet, 29, of Tamaqua: Charged with conspiracy, theft by deception, receiving stolen property, and retail theft on Feb. 6 by Rush Township police. Baldwin sentenced her to 12 months probation and to repay Walmart $105.Albert Shaw, 32, of Tamaqua: Charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana on Nov. 1, 2014, by Tamaqua police. Baldwin placed him on probation for 30 days.
