This summer, the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office, the Drug Task Force, Pennsylvania State Police, Troop L — Reading, the Vice/Narcotics Unit and ottsville police began an investigation into the alleged distribution of illegal narcotics by, among others, Ashley Marie Licona, 34.

Investigators obtained a search warrant Monday for 409 E. Norwegian St., Pottsville, as well as for Licona. The search warrant was executed that same day. Licona was detained while she exited the house.

The searches resulted in the seizure of approximately 454 grams of suspected methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $22,700, and approximately 25 grams of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $12,500.

Licona was charged with two counts of possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine and fentanyl; two counts of possession of a controlled substance; and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was arraigned before District Judge Anthony Kilker, Shenandoah, and remains in Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
