The Palmerton Area Democratic Club will honor all Democrats who ran for county offices at the club's holiday dinner and annual meeting and election of officers at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Blue Shamrock Country Club, 2230 Fireline Road, Palmerton.

Reservations are requested by noon this Friday for the holiday dinner, which begins with a social hour at 6 p.m., buffet served at 6:30 p.m., and the annual meeting and election of officers at 7:15 p.m.Guests are asked to bring canned goods to share with the food bank, run by the Community Action Council of Palmerton Area Churches.The area covered by the club includes Palmerton, Bowmanstown, Towamensing Township and Lower Towamensing Township.Meetings are held monthly at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month from September to May, with location to be announced.Annual dues are $1 per year, and are due Jan. 1.
