Parole/probation revocation hearings were held by Carbon County Judge Joseph J. Matika on petitions filed by the adult probation office against defendants who have violated the terms of their release.

Those who had hearings included:Elizabeth Ruckhardt, 35, of Tamaqua, had her probation revoked on charges in two drug-related cases on petition of probation officer Clifford Eckhart for violating conditions by testing positive for a controlled substance which violated the zero tolerance condition and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.Judge Joseph J. Matika resentenced her on the first drug case to serve 11 to 22 months in the county prison and on the second case to serve six to 36 months in a state correctional institution. The sentences will be served in a state prison.Nicole Miller, 28, of Lehighton, had her parole revoked on a driving under the influence charge on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by testing positive for alcohol, which violated the zero tolerance condition.Matika resentenced her to serve 60 days in the county prison with credit for 60 already served and reparoled her.Roberto Magobet, 37, of Lansford, had his parole revoked in one case involving threats and assault charges and his probation revoked in a disorderly conduct case on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to make an effort to pay court costs, failing to perform 50 hours of community service, failing to complete anger management counseling and failing to have no contact with the victim.On the conduct charge Matika resentenced him to serve three to six months in the county prison and on the threats charge four months back time, with the terms running concurrent and effective Nov. 20.Moises Flores, 22, of Nesquehoning, had his probation revoked on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by testing positive for a controlled substance, failing to complete drug and alcohol treatment and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.Matika resentenced him to serve two to six months in the county prison effective Nov. 20.Robert Clifford, 22, of Lansford, had his parole revoked on a charge of fleeing or attempting to elude police on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by testing positive for a controlled substance.Matika resentenced him to serve out his maximum term, which runs to Dec. 12.Peter Matthews, 61, of Albrightsville, had his parole revoked on a DUI charge on petition of probation officer Joseph Bettine for violating conditions by failing to complete drug and alcohol treatment and failing to complete mental health treatment.Matika resentenced him to serve three months back time effective Feb. 1, 2016. However, if he completes his D&A and mental health treatments by that date the order will be vacated.Michael Peters, 43, of Nesquehoning, had his parole revoked on a charge of escape on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by testing positive for a controlled substance and failing to submit to scheduled urine screens, which violated the zero tolerance condition.Matika resentenced him to serve 189 days in the county prison consecutive to another term he is already serving but concurrent with a second sentence he is serving. He is eligible to be furloughed from the prison to enter an inpatient treatment facility.Brian Karlick, 29, of Lansford, had his probation revoked in two cases involving corruption of a minor and in the second case endangering the welfare of a child on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by testing positive for alcohol, which violated the zero tolerance condition.Matika resentenced him to serve 45 to 90 days in the county prison with credit for 58 days. However, he will not be released as he must serve the entire 90 days.Fred Easley, 37, of Lansford, had his probation revoked on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed, testing positive for a controlled substance, failing to submit to scheduled drug screens, which violated the zero tolerance condition.Matika resentenced him to serve 113 days to eight months in prison with credit for 73 days already served effective Oct. 16.Deanna Przewoznik, 39, of Hellertown, had her probation revoked on an endangering the welfare of a child charge on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by repeatedly testing positive for a controlled substance.Matika resentenced him to serve 39 days to six months in jail with credit for 39 days and reparoled.Jacob Bynon, 34, of Lansford, had his probation revoked on a retail theft charge on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to submit to a scheduled drug screen, which violated the zero-tolerance condition.Matika resentenced him to serve 27 days to 13 months in prison with credit for 27 days already served and reparoled him.ARD revokedThe following defendants were revoked from the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on petitions filed by the probation office.Peter Sickley, 48, of Albrightsville, was revoked on a charge of driving under the influence on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by being arrested by state police on new DUI charges.Judge Steven R. Serfass ordered the case be placed on the next trial list.Eli Suveg, 22, of Lansford, was revoked on a charge of simple assault on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by repeatedly testing positive for a controlled substance.Matika placed the case on the next pretrial list.Steven Shanton, 21, of Nesquehoning, was revoked on a charge of possession of a controlled substance on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by being charged with a new criminal offense and repeatedly testing positive for a controlled substance.Matika placed the care on the next pretrial list.Dylan Lavecchia, 21, of Lehighton, was revoked on a charge of identity theft on petition of probation officer Kimberly Cooper for violating conditions by being cited by Palmerton police for retail theft, testing positive for marijuana, failing to engage in drug and alcohol treatment, missing scheduled urine screens, failing to report whereabouts and being arrested by state police at Lehighton.Serfass ordered the case be placed on the next pretrial list.Glynnis Banks, 29, of Lansford, was revoked on a charge of access device fraud on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to pay court costs.Matika ordered the case placed on the next pretrial list.
