Four people were taken to St. Luke’s Lehighton Campus following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday in Jim Thorpe Borough.

Police Chief Joe Schatz said a tractor-trailer, driven by Miguel Ortiz of Tobyhanna, and a 2012 Subaru Impreza driven by Edward Surfield of Tamaqua, collided at Hazard Square around 3 p.m.

Officers said the tractor-trailer was headed south on Route 209 and the Imprezza, which also had two passengers, was stopped in the northbound lane when the crash happened.

Everyone involved was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries and evaluation.

The Impreza had to be towed from the scene.

Schatz said the crash remains under investigation.
