A Lehigh Valley distribution center is closing, leaving more than 1,000 people without jobs.

XPO Logistics of 1611 Van Buren Road, Palmer Township, posted a Warn notice Monday with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor.

The closure will begin April 26 and be completed by May 10. The company said 1,072 people will be affected.

According to the company’s website, XPO is a global leader in less-than-truckload transportation, and one of the largest LTL providers in North America. The company has 290 service centers.
