Palmerton’s long-standing solicitor has resigned after serving the borough for over four decades.

On a unanimous measure, borough council at a special meeting Wednesday accepted the resignation of borough solicitor Michael Ozalas.

Borough Manager Donna McGarry noted that Ozalas has served as the borough’s solicitor for the past 41 years.

McGarry said council will look to fill the vacancy as soon as possible.
