Schuylkill County employees will continue to park near where they work as commissioners approved agreements for parking spaces recently.

Commissioners voted for two agreements with The Pottsville Parking Authority, one for 96 parking permits at the Capitol Parking Garage and 14 parking permits for parking along the 200 block of Laurel Boulevard for The Human Services Complex and Children and Youth employees in the city.

Cost is $36 per monthly per space from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 for a cost not to exceed $47,520.

The other agreement, effective Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, provides for 20 parking spaces at the Capitol Parking Garage for adult probation employees. Cost is $36 per space not to exceed $720.
