Walnutport Borough Council took the following action last week:

• Agreed to spend $2,600 to update the borough’s sanitation software. The funds will come from out of sanitation, and not the general budget.

• Announced that the Walnutport Playground Association’s lease is up at the end of the year, and has been moved from a 5-year to a 10-year lease.

• Announced that due to the pandemic, council will continue to meet once a month, rather than twice a month, until August. Council’s next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 14.
