Bowmanstown discusses Halloween plans
Bowmanstown Mayor Zack Snyder discussed Halloween last week.
“I have no intentions on canceling trick-or-treat,” he said.
He said he would hold a “Boo-manstown” trunk-or-treat, adhering to distancing guidelines.
“My idea is to close off Lime Street to Ore Street, up to Hamilton Street, possibly extending the trunk-or-treat area into the picnic grove.”
He also mentioned concern of overcrowding if other towns choose to cancel trick-or-treat, Bowmanstown may become flooded with people from out of town.
Snyder made it clear, “The event is strictly for Bowmanstown residents only.”
The date and time for this event is yet to be determined.
Snyder also said he’d like to increase government transparency with the livestreaming of meetings for those who cannot physically attend them.

• The borough has decided to handle its street sweeping differently from how it has in the past.
Residents in attendance said they weren’t informed of street sweeping so that they could be prepared to move their vehicles. Officials said an “all-clear” messaging system had been made to inform residents of the street sweeping, however, council admitted that for an unknown reason, calls were not successfully transmitted to all borough residents.

If you have not done so already you are strongly encouraged to do so. Failure to do so results in a loss of funding for the community at the rate of $2,000 per person for the next 10 years.
