The Schuylkill County America 250 parade was held Saturday in Pottsville.
Despite the rainy weather, many lined sidewalks to watch the parade.
Parade turnout was impressive, too, with numerous vehicles, floats and marching units.
Participants came from around the county since organizers invited each of the county’s 67 municipalities to participate.
Afterward, an America 250 birthday bash with food trucks, live entertainment and vendors was held at Alvernia University’s Pottsville campus.
The parade followed a Friday picnic with fireworks held from the Capitol parking garage on Progress Avenue.
