Slatington police release monthly reports

Slatington borough police announce the following arrests:

Sept. 16: Retail theft arrest of Joe Elize Cruz, 20, of Slatington. According to police, between Sept. 16-23 Cruz entered the Turkey Hill located on Main Street five times and took items without paying before leaving the store.No arraignment or bail information is available at this time.Sept. 20: A 9:50 p.m., traffic stop led to three charges. Jason Nester, 37, of Slatington was stopped between Long Alley and Dowell. He was cited for not having a license, failure to stop at stop sign and failure to use turn signals.Sept. 21: At 10 p.m., at the intersection of Route 873 and Friedens Road, Mindy Tavares, 38, of Greenville was charged with DUI and careless driving.Sept. 25: Public drunkenness arrest of Ann Trask, 51, of Slatington. Police said Trask was observed stumbling and swaying while she was walking toward her vehicle parked in the Main Street Sunoco A-Plus Mini Mart lot at 6:55 p.m.Oct. 3: Public drunkenness arrest of Troy Park, 47. Park was observed stumbling and swaying while attempting to walk. He was also carrying an open can of beer when he was stopped at 5:30 p.m., on Willow Avenue.Oct. 6: Retail theft arrest of Zachary Leiby, 20, of Emerald, who was observed taking a drink from the cooler of the Turkey Hill Mini Mart on Main Street and placing the drink in his pocket, then leaving the store with out paying for it at 5 p.m.Oct. 6: A vehicle stop lead to nine different charges for Lisa Marie Temos

a.k.a Lisa Marie Ringler, 37, of Slatedale. Temos/Ringler was stopped at the 100 Block of Main Street at 5:24 p.m.She faces possession of controlled substance, driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of prohibited offensive weapon, altered registration, fraudulent use of registration plate, driving without license, driving unregister vehicle and operating with out financial responsibility.
