Carbon County Commissioners acted on a number of reappointments, as well as personnel moves during their weekly meeting on Thursday.

Reappointments• Approve the reappointment of Randall L. Smith of Jim Thorpe to a five-year term on the hospital authority. The term is until Dec. 31, 2020.• Approve the reappointment of Carbon Engineering Inc. as the county engineer and accept the 2016 professional fee schedule.Services• Approve the agreement with Christopher J. Kegel of Palmerton for services in the sheriff's office. The agreement is effective Dec. 21 and Kegel will receive $25 per hour, not to exceed 200 hours.Personnel• Approve the employment separation of Kevin M. Smith of Lehighton as a corrections officer at the prison, effective Dec. 16.• Approve the change of status for Patrick D. Matsinko of Lehighton from part-time victim/witness coordinator trainee to part-time victim/witness coordinator in the district attorney's office, effective Dec. 21.• Approve the change of statuses for Shea E. Kelchner of Slatington and Jason K. Pfleiderer of Lansford from part-time corrections officers/Teamsters to corrections officers at the prison, effective Dec. 21.• Approve a leave of absence extension for Robert J. Blisard of Albrightsville, deputy sheriff, from Dec. 17 to Jan. 16.
