DECEMBER 10, 1981The local economic climate was given a big boost when the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority announced approval of a $2 million loan to Silberline Manufacturing Company in Lansford.The loan will be used toward the acquisition of the Bundy Tubing Plant facility in Hometown. The plant will manufacture aluminum pigments and the expansion will create 137 new jobs with an annual payroll of $3.135 million after three years.State Rep. Thomas McCall, chairman of the House Subcommittee on Industrial Development, played a key role in the project, which has a total cost of $4,031,500.
