A crash at the intersection of Route 309 and Gun Club Road in Lynn Township, Lehigh County left one person dead and another injured Friday.

According to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred around 3:35 p.m. Friday between a tanker truck and a tractor-trailer, leaving the tractor-trailer on its side across the roadway.

The driver of the tanker truck was pronounced dead at the scene by Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio. The deceased is a man from Tamaqua, but his name is being withheld until all of his family has been notified. An autopsy will be performed on Monday.

The crash is being investigated by the state police, Fogelsville station, coroner, and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Ofiice.
